Madras tree shrew road kill


Endemic to India...The Madras Treeshrew (Anathana ellioti), also known as the Indian Treeshrew, is a small mammal that lives in the hilly forests of southern India

Anathana ellioti ellioti(Waterhouse1850).....a subspecies present in Eastern ghats, Andhra pradesh. and south India

Roads kills and habitat destruction are the major treats to this tiny creature...!!!

dusk at kambalakonda wildlife santuary....!!!


Kambalakonda wildlife sanctuary... The sanctuary is situated in the Eastern Ghats on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam city, extending to an area of 7139 ha and consists of gentle to sleep slopes. Its has some unique flora and faunal species....!!!!
